The Sustainable Household Scheme offers interest-free loans to aid the costs involved with equipment installation. The loan can be anywhere between $2000 to $15000 based on the household’s capacity. The scheme is aimed at bringing savings as much as possible. With the upfront costs covered, the scheme makes switching to solar energy easy and highly affordable.
Note: The Sustainable Household Scheme is available only for detached homes with land value capped at $750,000.
With the ACT Government’s approach to the new Sustainable Household Scheme, households, as well as non-profit organisations, can avail of up to $15000 interest-free loans that can be used to get solar panels, zero-emission vehicles charging equipments, household battery storage and energy-efficient electric applications.
Electric vehicles owners need not worry about running out of charge while on the road! The scheme also includes setting up 50 electric vehicle charging station networks.
